Jerald suggested Downtown Detroit Anthenum Hotel. We will check out.
His Brother Christopher works at Doubletree Hotel, not in the Downtown Area (Dearborn.Doubletree.com). Located in Dearborn, Michigan 1-313-982-3983 which is about 20 minutes drive to downtown Detroit. I did visit and spoke with Mini Sion. Rates would be $119 per night, Single, Two Doubles, King Bed and Sofa. Higher rates for meet and greet room and food.
On October 17, I visited with Ms. Moe Moua, at the Courtyard Marriott, 333 East Jefferson Ave, Detroit, MI 48226, 313-222-7700. She has not gotten back with me on the prices. Offers 20 complimentary rooms. This hotel is in the heart of Downtown Detroit. You have access to walking to Greektown, the Riverwalk (where you can see the river and visit the greektown casino). All rooms are nice.
On October 26, I visited with Ms. Stefanie Fields-Bradley, Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown. Beautiful Hotel, 351 Gratiot, Detroit, Michigan, 313-967-0900.

Flat rate $134.00 per night, includes breakfast and parking. King Beds and 2 Queen Beds. Suites are $40 more. No shuttle to downtown, 15 minute walk or you can take the people mover $.75 cents (a little trolley car). I would recommend this Hotel. Also if some of you want you can walk across the street on Sunday and attend the Second Baptist Church which served as a station on the Underground Railroad.
This Hotel is already booked for Family Reunions up to August 2012.
Next we will be calling transportation buses for the tours to the Motown and Charles H Wright Museums and Visit the Holiday Inn Express, and Book Cadillac Hotels.
