Concerns were brought up regarding enough activities between tours on Saturday and could times be moved backward or ahead.  We will revisit the time schedule to make sure we will have enough time for activities before the picnic.  If an additional activity is needed, we will check on the Greenfield Village tour which would be a 30 minute ride to Dearborn, Michigan and approximately 3 hours of fun.  John suggests that all activities should be in the Downtown area which would be more convenient.  I agree.

Events – Saturday, Continental breakfast at the hotel, tour of Motown Museum and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, bus tour of Downtown Detroit, Greek Town, River Walk and waterfront areas, and picnic at Bell Isle. After the picnic, those interested may enjoy the Princess Party Boat which offers nightclub type partying with a midnight cruise along the waters between Detroit and Canada or any of the 3 casinos located Downtown (Greek Town, MGM, and Motor City). If families decide to stay longer on Sunday, July 21, 2013, we will plan a brunch aboard the Diamond Jack Tour Boats.

    • Cinnamon Banks will get a list of Festivals during the month of July.  She will also draft a Flyer reminding everyone of the upcoming Darling-Walker Family Reunion.
    • John will send address and telephone list to Clementine.
    • Clementine will call families to get an ideal of who will be attending the reunion.

It was suggested to continue the Friday night slide show of pictures of family members, past and present.  (We will provide more information at a later date).  Food will be provided at the meet and greet room for Friday night.

Concerns were brought up regarding location of reunion, collecting money at a central point, etc.  References were made regarding the By-Laws, excepting officers as association officers.  Should money be sent to one treasurer (original), location of ordering T-shirts, etc?
It was agreed that Detroit would be the center point for the Detroit, Reunion.  Deloris affirmed.  Revisit of the By-Laws will be done by the Darling-Walker Family Association.
